Scale models of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Earth were installed recently on the grounds of the Donald W. Reynolds Library as part of a large, orrery (OR-uh-ree) project spanning Baxter and Marion counties. The orrery is a 3-D scale model of our solar system showing the relative positions of the planets. The orrery is slated to have a two year run, maintained by Pinkston Middle School Science teacher, Lynn Kelsh, and ASUMH student volunteers.
