APRIL is CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

The Education Center of the Baxter County Juvenile Services is offering "Family Dynamics" for parents of ages 12 - 17. Two class schedules are available: Monday sessions - March 29th thru May 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00pm OR Thursday sessions - April 1st thru May 6th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Education Center is located at 1310 Bradley Drive in Mountain Home. Free childcare by reservation only. Space is limited. Must call for reservation. 425-1488 ext. 2.

The Area Art Club will meet at the American Legion Hall (717 Market Street in Mtn. Home) on Thursday, April 1st, at 1:00pm. Jean Falk, of the Corner Joint Gallery, will present a program on matting and framing of paintings, drawings, and photography. The business meeting will follow her presentation. The First Assembly of God in Mountain View, AR will hold their 2nd Annual Eggstavaganza on Saturday, April 3rd, from 10am -2pm. Calvary Chapel Twin Lakes invites you to join them for an EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE on Sunday, April 4th, at 6:00am at the Bull Shoals Visitor Center for music and a gospel message in the Outdoor Pavilion (dress warm) (at the James A. This will be followed by a FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST at 8:00am and RESURRECTION DAY CELEBRATION at 10:00am at Calvary Chapel Twin Lakes located at 1058 Highland Circle in Georgetown Square II in Mountain Home. You are invited to The Rock Church for an Easter Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, April 4th, at 6:30am. Immediately after service a FREE breakfast will be served. "TAPOUT: Easter in the Octagon" is the theme for a dynamic Easter presentation at Faith Assembly of God, in West Plains, on April 4th at 10:30am. Local MMA fighters will spar in an octagon on stage as Pastors Ron Billings and Jerry Heath tell the dramatic story of Jesus Christ's death and triumph. In the 9:00 am service, the choir will perform the musical "I've Seen Jesus". The public is invited to attend either or both of these Easter services. The CALL (Children of Arkansas Loved for a Lifetime) is a nonprofit group dedicated to recruiting, training and supporting Christian foster and adoptive families. The CALL for Izard, Fulton & Sharp Counties will hold its monthly information meetings on the first Monday of each month in one of the three counties. The April meeting will be held at the Highland Hills Baptist Church on Monday, April 5th, from 6:30 - 8:00pm. The church is located on Hwy 62/412 in Highland. There will be a Relay For Life fundraiser in the Parking Lot of Galaxy Fireworks (on Hwy 62 East in Mountain Home) on Saturday April 10th. There will be a Garage Sale from 7:00am to 3:00pm and Schwan's will be there from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The First Annual Bull Shoals Lake Bluegrass Festival will be held on Saturday, April 17th, from 10am to 8pm. In addition to lots of music, there will be crafts, food & games for the entire family.
